VISIT TO PANZER GIRLS – ARAKAN BARRACKS.
Today, Colonel Priscilla Katoba, FAZ National Women’s Football Representative, President of Women in Soccer Zambia (WISZ), and Director of the International Military Sports Council (CISM) / United Nations Liaison Officer (UNLO), paid a visit to the Panzer Girls at Arakan Barracks as part of ongoing engagements with women’s football teams.
In her capacity, she oversees sports across the entire Zambia Defence Force—comprising the Zambia Army, Zambia Air Force, and Zambia National Service—while representing Zambia Defence Force sports at both continental and global levels.
She was accompanied by Colonel Lillian Maela, Chairperson of GBWFC, who reinforced key messages during the session. She emphasized the importance of education, discipline, and addressing critical social matters, while encouraging players to remain focused on their personal development and football careers.
The team captain expressed sincere appreciation for the visit and the knowledge shared, noting that such engagements play a crucial role in shaping players both on and off the field.
One of the players also shared her gratitude, stating that the session would have a lasting impact on behavior change. She encouraged her fellow teammates to embrace the lessons learned and to prioritize faith, discipline, and purpose in their football journeys.
Colonel Priscilla Katoba reaffirmed her continued commitment to empowering women in football through mentorship, guidance, and structured engagement.
