🎤 Reflections from one of our speakers, Mr Nduduzo Ngema, at this year’s NATESA Alumni Conference.

Mr Ngema challenged us to look beyond the surface of unemployment, poverty, and inequality, reminding us that these are not isolated struggles, but deeply structural issues rooted in unequal education systems, economic exclusion, and limited access to opportunity.

“Unequal schools, unequal municipalities, unequal economies, and unequal access to opportunity.”

His powerful address called for collective, systematic intervention and questioned whether modern education is truly serving liberation, or becoming an instrument of modern colonisation through the commodification of education.

A powerful day of dialogue, reflection, and solution-driven engagement at the 2nd Annual NATESA Alumni Conference held at DUT Ritson Campus. ✨

Students, alumni, and other attendees came together to tackle important conversations around financial exclusion, employability, economic inclusion, and institutional marginalisation.

From impactful panel discussions to meaningful networking and engagement sessions. This conference reminded us of the importance of unity, representation, and creating spaces where every voice matters. ❤️
