We live in a culture that worships comfort. Convenience is king, ease is the goal and anything that feels difficult is labeled unnecessary. If it's hard, we avoid it. If it's painful, we medicate it. If it stretches us, we sidestep it. Because we have been discipled by drive - thru, instant downloads and pain-free promises into believing that the blessed life is the comfortable life. But comfort has becomes a counterfeit Crown. It promises peace yet produces passivity.

Have you carefully studied the 5 areas of essential knowledge in which you as a Christian worker should walk,,? For you to make the impact,,, the following is a must:
1)Know the history of the church in your City.
2) Know the history of the church in your nation.
3)Know the history of ministry to your target sub-culture or ethnic group.
4)Know the history of the type of ministry in which you are involved.
5) Know the history of your movement.
Strategically you will be able to know what are you fighting for and how should you be prepared,,

It is a dangerous thing to lose knowledge of the past. "When all that generation had been gathered to their fathers, another generation arose after them who did not know the Lord nor the work which He had done for Israel,, (Judge 2;10, kjv),
This becomes one of the greatest needs of the church of today, a sense of history and distiny.
Have you ever wondered why some cities have repeatedly experienced revival while others have not,,? As we all know, Revival is the return of life to that which has died. It means to resuscitate that which was once alive. The church in many cities has experienced periods of apparent death,and what kept it from dying out completely was God, who kept His covenants.
In the past, whole generations have lost the knowledge of God, but God kept His promise to their forebears which is you and me. God will renew His kingdom again when He found willing hearts. Do you have a willing heart to change the cities into God fearing cities,,,?!
