At MOSAIC, support doesn’t stop when the workday ends. Our after-hours social worker service ensures that survivors can still access urgent care, guidance, and compassionate support whenever they need it most 💜

For the month of June, Bukeka Xongo will be serving as our after-hours social worker on duty.

In this role, Bukeka will:
• Respond to urgent after-hours calls and referrals
• Provide immediate emotional support and crisis containment
• Assist survivors and families with referrals to additional services and care

No one should have to face a crisis alone. Help remains available beyond office hours for those who need it most.

Families are often spoken about as places of love, protection, and belonging.

But for many women and children, home can also be where fear, silence, and harm are experienced most closely.

Strong families are not built by ignoring violence or expecting women to carry the burden of care and survival alone. They are watered and built through safety, accountability, shared responsibility, and support systems that respond when help is needed.

Because safety within families is not private, it affects us all.
