Mother Earth Day - 22 April
We look at Table Mountain, an ancient presence that witnessed forests breathe, oceans gather, and life unfold long before us. She has endured all that humanity has celebrated, destroyed, and forgotten.
On this Earth Day, we honour the fynbos, the rivers, the aquifers, and all species that belong here. We stand for Mother Earth.
We are not separate from Nature; we are in relationship with her, but the law does not recognise this. It reduces the living world to objects, to things to be owned, used, separated and disposed.
If Nature is alive, why is she still treated as an object in law?
