Our first and biggest current project is the incredible Wilderness Learning Cooperative (WLC), which was founded in 2019.
Our goals are to:

- expand into broader nature-based community projects
 - develop more nature-based education programmes

- work within our rich cultural diversity to enrich our
communities and their connection to their cultural heritage and our natural world.

- develop environmental programmes that improve and enrich our diverse local ecosystems and partnering with others doing this work in our communities already.
The WLC vision is to create a holistic learning experience that is deeply rooted in nature, to nurture the full development and potential of each child.
We provide homeschooling support, and are currently developing our expansion phase programme for ages 8 - 12 year olds. We cover a broad range of academic subjects and offer a natural, emergent, immersion learning experience that cultivates a deep connection to nature, community and self.

BirdSong Nature School is a foundation phase programme for 4-8 year olds. It nurtures the playful innocence of early childhood whilst providing hands- on experiential learning. Our main focus is social coherence, introduction to concepts and a broad range of enriching, contextual and creative learning. This will prepare the children holistically, for deeper academic learning in the next phase .learn
