Another successful Flying for Life cataract outreach was completed this past weekend. Due to a desperate need for eye surgery in the Limpopo region, this was a two-day outreach and a record number of 22 patients were treated in one day of surgery! Well done to everyone on the team and our partners for making this happen!

Work Day! Our visiting group of Mission Aviation Fellowship Interns spent a day doing practical tasks around the base. It was great to have the extra hands and to see everyone enjoying working alongside our team. Well done everyone!

Yolande Korkie visited us to talk to our group of interns about risk and her story as a captive in the middle east. It was an eye-opening day of counting the cost in missions and living wisely in cross cultural contexts.

Mercy Air's local staff hosted the visiting group of interns for a traditional African lunch. This was a completely new experience for most of the group and a fun introduction to a new culture.

After dinner this week, the Mercy Air team gathered with a visiting group of MAF interns for a Q&A session to discuss missions aviation. This was a special time to learn from seasoned missionaries and have this group of young, aspiring mission pilots ask questions and learn from those who've gone before them. We're excited to see how the Lord leads and uses this group!

It's great to have a group of interns from Aviation Fellowship with us this week! They're spending time being exposed to a cross-culture mission aviation base, local communities, and attending some language classes. We're looking forward to seeing what the Lord does with this group.

Our helicopter team during their recent Mozambique outreach with S.A.M. Ministries Inc. near the Southern border of Malawi. The team spent several days here where they led pastor seminars with local churches and set up mobile clinics. This is a longstanding outreach into this part of Mozambique and a joy to be a part of!

Our new pilot, Tobias, just completed his first solo on the Kodiak and we're very excited to have a new pilot on board! A surprise soaking was waiting for him when he landed!😉
