π¨ CALL FOR MENTORS | TECH SOCIETY UKZN π¨
Somewhere at UKZN, there is a student trying to enter an industry you already understand.
They may be wondering which skills actually matter, how to get their first opportunity, what employers really look for, or whether they are even heading in the right direction.
Sometimes the difference between feeling lost and moving forward is simply having someone say:
βIβve walked this road before. Let me share what I learnt.β π€π
The Tech Society UKZN Mentorship Program is calling on industry professionals, alumni and postgraduate students to mentor UKZN students and help bridge the gap between university and the world of work. ππ
When signing up, mentors can choose the sector that best matches their experience:
π Data Analytics & Business Strategy
πΌ Tech Consulting & Business
π± Digital Marketing for Businesses
π³ Finance & FinTech
π Logistics & Tech
π Tech Risk & Cybersecurity
π§Ύ Accounting, Auditing & Digital Systems
Your experience does not need to be perfect to be valuable.
The lesson you learnt after making a mistake could prevent someone else from making it.
The career advice you wish you received earlier could give someone direction.
One conversation could give a student the confidence to apply for an opportunity they would otherwise have walked away from. π±
