πŸ“’ WESTCOL TVET COLLEGE STUDENTS VOLUNTEER PROGRAMME

On 06 July 2026 and 10 July 2026, Philani Community Development Programme had the honour of welcoming WESTCOL TVET College NCV Office Administration Level 2 students, led by Ms Sibongile Ngakane, as part of their Student Volunteer Programme assessment.

During their orientation, our Director, Mrs Phyllis Malope, warmly welcomed the students and shared the inspiring history of Philani Community Development Programme. She spoke about the organisation's journey, its vision and mission, the impact of its programmes, and its commitment to empowering vulnerable children, youth, women, and communities through education, skills development, early childhood development, social services, and economic empowerment initiatives.

The students were then taken on an induction tour of our key programmes, including: βœ… Philani Safe Haven
βœ… Philani Educare Centre
βœ… Philani Incubation Hub

They were inspired by the life-changing work being carried out by Philani and expressed their appreciation for the organisation's positive impact within the community.

As part of their practical assessment, the students committed to returning to Philani Community Development Programme to complete their compulsory six (6) hours of volunteer service across different programmes. They also pledged to support the organisation through fundraising initiatives to help strengthen our services and expand our impact in the community.

Philani Community Development Programme sincerely thanks WESTCOL TVET College, Ms Sibongile, and the NCV Office Administration Level 2 students for choosing our organisation as their community partner. We look forward to building a strong and lasting partnership that promotes volunteerism, leadership, and community development.

"Together, we are changing lives, empowering communities, and building a brighter future through volunteerism and service."
