Thank You, Kouga Municipality!

Lubabalo Orphanage and Feeding Scheme would like to say thank you to Kouga Municipality for the generous donation of a deep freezer and toys. The freezer will help us store food safely for our feeding scheme, and the toys have brought so much joy and smiles to our children.
Your support means more than words can say. Thank you for caring for our children and supporting our community. 🙏✨

February was a month of love, we at L.O.F.S showed one of our kids just how much we love and care for her. As we saw that she was not attending school and she was supposed to be starting grade R but as her parent explained the situation of not being employed so it was hard to buy her uniform so we just had to make sure that we assist the mother and believing that every child has a right to education. Our little girl started school on the 21st February, seeing the joy and excitement in her eyes was all that we needed. May we keep on spreading love to our kids, may we be their safe space, let's love them❤️

Our Christmas lunch for 2024,comparing last year's lunch and this year's one, we can gladly and proudly pat ourselves at the back for our good work that we have done this year. Our kids had such a great time and we live to make them happy and safe,we will always strive to make a difference in our community especially in our children's lives. As we are closing this year as the organization we would like to thank everyone who walked this journey with us the entire year,your donations, sponsors, your words of encouragement and the parents who trust us with their kids everyday,it has been a great year working with the community and our local municipality who has played a huge role in making a difference in the organization. As we are heading to Christmas,known as a giving time so we at L.O.F.S will be giving out food parcels to some households that we know are in so much need of it,We will be distributing to those that do not have any source of income in their homes. We are trying our best to capture the work that we do but still having some minor difficulties.

Each and every day we are striving to make a difference in our community,be it a small o big but the difference is made,as much as we want to cater for everyone who's in need but we can't due to lack of sponsors/donations so we continue to focus on kids, those who don't have identity documents and the ones who are on medication/treatment and have no one to look after them because as we know that no one should take medication on an empty stomach.
This is a bit of the work that we did this month,clothes donation,distribution of toiletries to our girls from the ages of 12-18yrs and of course our daily meals.
We would like to thank everyone who takes their time going through their wardrobe to sort out what they don't wear anymore and donate those to us and we plead to others that we are still looking forward to more donations,be it clothes, shoes, food etc, let us all strive to make that difference 🙏NNadia Ferreira
