Everything we do is created in and flows through relationships. While working at a school for the physically disabled in Durban, South Africa, our founder started to discover and see the need to invest in so much more than just education and sport and that there was a deep longing to know and be known more holistically. As her relationships grew with the children, a deep yearning for them to know

that they were created for more began to stir in her heart. While journeying with a boy, Ranetsi Manyoni and seeing the affect that sport had in transforming his life physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually, she began to wonder why it should stop there. ‘Made for More’ uses sport as a vehicle to bring hope, build relationships, and instill morals and values, while equipping and giving athletes the opportunity to pursue their sporting careers provincially and on a National level. When coaching, we don’t just focus on a physical, one dimensional level, but we seek to go deeper and to invest in the heart of the athlete. We desire our brothers and sisters to break free from societies conformities and stigma’s about who they are and what they can do, and discover that that are ‘Made for More’. We desire to see hearts and minds renewed as well as filled with a unique passion and purpose for their lives. We desire to see this people group restored and filled with love, acceptance and hope for a better future.

SAVE THE DATE: WHEELCHAIR CHALLENGE 2026

On 25 June, we’re taking a seat in a wheelchair to step into the shoes – and wheels – of South Africans living with disabilities.

The SBS Tanks Wheelchair Challenge is about empathy, accessibility and real change for organisations like Made for More, Little Eden, the Spears and many others.
How you can get involved:
“Take a Seat” at work/school or at the event and experience a wheelchair‑day.
Donate or sponsor your team to raise funds for the organisation’s involved/register your school basketball team to come play.
Share your story on social media with and .
Tag your colleagues/schoolmates, clients and partners and let’s turn awareness into action.

🚨 THE BIG WALK is getting THE BIG PUSH! 🚨

This Sunday, 17 May, the SBS Team will be out on the 10km route at the Suncoast East Coast Radio Big Walk — but we’re doing it with a twist. 💙

A few SBS staff members will be completing the route in wheelchairs as part of THE BIG PUSH, our awareness drive in support of the 2026 SBS Wheelchair Challenge.

We’ll be easy to spot with our SBS flags, Wheelchair Challenge T-shirts and big team energy — so come find us along the route, say hi, walk with us for a bit, grab a pamphlet, and show your support! 🙌

Every push, every step and every conversation helps raise awareness and make mobility possible for those who need it most.

What’s a mile between friends 😝

Made for More is one of the beneficiaries of this incredible initiative,
There is so much we would not be able to do if it wasn’t for your kindness and support. We are so blessed to journey with you.
Just know that this is not just a swim, not just a mile, it’s us being able to continue including people with disabilities, breaking stigma, creating mobility and accessibility and most importantly loving people a little harder.
