Mamma africa Mamma Africa Care Centre Mamma Africa was established in 2008, our main objective was to help the people in the Boland area.

We started out by giving bread and soup a few times a week to poverty stricken communities like New Rest in Wellington. The majority of the adults in these communities are unemployed or rely solely on government grants. I

In this community we feed around 200-300 children on a daily basis. We give the meals at home to that we know the children are fed and off the street where they become easy targ

ets. We give them a nutritious meal in the afternoon that will help them get through the rest of the day. Like the adults in New Rest these children's parents or guardians are also unemployed and struggle to make ends meet.
