Because someone has to.
Because they didn’t choose this life — to be born outside, to scavenge, to hide from danger, to suffer silently when they’re sick or injured.
Because every time I trap, neuter, feed, or comfort one, I know I’m giving them a chance — maybe not at a home on a couch, but at a life with less fear, fewer kittens born into hardship, and a full belly.
Because they are not invisible to me.
Because I’ve seen the difference compassion makes.
Because they matter.
And once you see them — really see them — you can’t unsee.
You just start helping, and then you never stop.
