One outstanding principle of co-operatives all over the world is the education, training and information sharing. CoopFM has been established to assist the co-operative subsector of the economy to be able to exercise this principle. It is the hope of this noble objective that the Subsector will be able to share information on co-operative formations, management, good governance, success stories an
d the code of good practice. It is further hoped that the subsector will be empowered to drive the socio-economic transformation of our impoverished communities by reducing unemployment and poverty. It is esteemed view of the founders that CoopFM will be able to make meaningful contributions through intense engagement of stakeholders in the subsector and to provide appropriate information to aid policy or decisions initiate actions that will provide the appropriate interventions for the development of the subsector. The station will be able to use short stories, dramas, etc. to illustrate problems and possible solutions within the subsector and at the same time providing the entertainment part. This is most people favourite part, you play to solve problems.
