Highway Help was started to create a community based charity with the support of the locals in the Highway area to aid and assist people and families in the area who are in need. Specific families who are currently in need will be highlighted and appeals
sent out on their behalf with their need requirements. We will ask our community to assist in providing groceries, toiletries, other essential basics, clothing, any other furniture or appliances and monetary donations for living costs such as petrol, rent, utility bills, airtime etc. Collecting and delivering donations etc. Any help big or small! All donees will be vetted to ensure that their story is legitimate and that they are in serious need of assistance. Donees will not be given actual cash unless SPECIFIC conditions arise. Highway Help will collect and distribute all donations and be in charge of all monies donated and will pay specific needs accordingly i.e. rent, l&w, airtime etc. We will pay these accounts and not the donees. This is to ensure that transparency is apparent at all times. Our aim is to be personal and focus on local families - help our own community out in any way we can. Families who are victims of crime such as home invasions, house robberies, hijackings, kidnapping, death of breadwinner family members, victims of extenuating factors such as floods, fires etc and also retrenchment.
