*🎉 HUGE WIN FOR Wartburg residents and Wartburg Village Association ! 🎉*

Following our message on 8 October, we have an amazing update:

Our objections/submissions were *successful*! ✅

Wartburg will now fall under *Ward 7* along with Cool Air and Fortmannspruit and separate from Trust Feeds as well as Bruynshill.

A huge THANK YOU to every member and resident who stood together to make this happen. Your voice mattered!

Thank you also to Raganie Thomas as well for her efforts and advice.

This is a massive win for our community and it proves what we can do when we unite, and how important it is to have a ratepayers association that is able to both be aware of issues like these and coordinate and follow the correct channels for change.

*Now that we’ve won this round, the next step is critical:*
Voter registration weekend 20-21 June 2026. Please make sure you are registered, and encourage all friends, family, neighbors and employees to register and vote in the 2026/2027 Local Government Elections.

Let’s keep the momentum going. Do the right thing — *GO OUT AND VOTE!* 🗳️

*Wartburg Village Association - 27 November 2025, Day 4 - Distribution Day*

- All affected families received food parcels, blankets, linen, and clothing.
- Moms and babies received nappies and formula.

🌟 The Govender family for providing +150 portions of food and 200 waters your generosity didn't go unnoticed 🙏
🌟GM Force Security company for doing a last minute delivery with donations of more nappies, milk, and 8 bags of baby clothes, a mattress etc🙏
🌟Debbie and Oscar for amazing organization and teamwork it was a pleasure working together.
🌟The Ward 2 Councillor for addressing recipients before handout.
⭐uMshwathi muncipality for their donation of Rice and mielie meal.
🌟 Janet D for organizing transport for SPCA donations.

23 November 2025 - The Umswatbi area was devastated by floods, with New Hanover Ward 2 severely affected. The Wartburg Village Association, in collaboration with local businesses and community members, took action to support the affected residents.

The days following the floods, our team was at the New Hanover Hall, providing hot lunches and distributing donations of food, clothing, blankets, formula, and nappies to those in need. Wartburg Village Association and New Hanover Ratepayers Association representatives ensured that donations reached the effected families.

We're proud to have been part of the relief efforts and grateful for the community's support.

PUBLIC NOTICE
Temporary Suspension of Home Affairs Services

The uMshwathi Municipality and the Department of Home Affairs wish to inform the public that, due to the ongoing renovation of the Thusong Centre building, which includes roof repairs, all Home Affairs services at the New Hanover Offices will be suspended on:

- Thursday, 12 June 2025
- Friday, 13 June 2025

During this period, a mobile truck will be stationed at the Thusong Centre, offering limited services, specifically:

- Collection of IDs

Normal services will resume on Tuesday, 17 June 2025, as Monday, 16 June 2025, is a public holiday.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding during this period.
