The EFFYC Youth Command is proud to announce the Chilla Nathi Potjiekos gathering, which will include a mass voter registration event.

On June 16th, we commemorate the courage of the 1976 generation, who fought valiantly for their rights. We aim to celebrate this day with the Warrenton community, drawing inspiration from the legacy of Hector Peterson and the 1976 generation as we confront issues such as inequality, racism, unemployment, gender-based violence, and crime.

As we approach the local government elections on November 4th, 2026, we recognize that this is a mission for our generation. The current state of the ANC indicates that they are on the verge of losing control of the municipality, which explains their efforts to field candidates in a desperate attempt to salvage their position. The ANC in Magareng remains in denial about the impending consequences of the 2026 elections, as it is clear that different parties will govern the Magareng Municipality.

Victory is inevitable; the EFF will take charge of the Magareng Municipality, and no one can impede our progress. The support reflected in our votes demonstrates that we are poised to seize power and transform Warrenton into a better community.

We extend an invitation to all young individuals to join us on June 16, 2026, to register and vote for the EFF, ensuring the removal of corrupt officials who prioritize their own interests over those of their constituents.

Our program will commence at 12:00 PM at the CBD, situated between the bakery and the Community Hall.

Magareng Municipality Bursaries for the First Quarter of the 2024/25 financial year

Magareng Municipality has allocated funds for employee bursaries to support their education advancement. We all witnessed the Imbizo held at the stadium. the mayor of Magareng Neo Mase, In her speech stated that while the municipality lacks funds however there are resources available internally to support bursaries for employees.

The initial payments made to educational institutions fall into three categories. A payment of R32,000 was sent to Commerce Edge, R28, 865 was sent to Mancosa, and the final of R32,000 was sent to Regency. All the mentioned institutions are private schools.

If the municipality can allocate a total of R92,865 for their employees, it raises concerns about the neglect of underprivileged learners from disadvantages backgrounds, many of whom have unemployed parents and are beneficiaries of SASSA. it is within the municipality's rights to offer bursaries to the most impoverished individuals. All employees receive salaries and benefits from the government they still seek additional support from the municipality for tertiary education while the children of the less fortunate suffer in our community.

The pressing question is who has benefited from the municipality's bursaries, and what were the requirements and criteria used to select municipal employees for higher education opportunities. We demand transparency; the municipality must disclose the names of those who benefited from the internal bursaries for the 2024/25 financial year.

Sober-minded young people on the ground are dissatisfied with the way the ANC manages its affairs. Seeing students return to school is disheartening. return to help parents get water by pushing a wheelbarrow. Water is an essential necessity; the ANC administration transformed Magareng Municipality into a spazashop; in order to fully remove ANC from our municipality, our young people must register to vote.
