Cute faces mean busy days—and a lot of changes! 👶✨

Behind those sweet smiles, our nursery team is working around the clock to keep our little ones clean, dry, and comfortable. As our babies continue to grow, our supply cupboard is running quite low on our most-used daily essentials.

We are making a special appeal this week for:

🍼 Size 3 Nappies

🍼 Size 4 Nappies

🫧 Wet Wipes (you can truly never have too many!)

If you are doing your weekly grocery run or shopping online, please consider adding a pack to your cart for our village. It’s one of the most practical ways to directly impact the comfort of our tiniest residents.

📍 Drop-offs: Can be brought directly to the village.

To the mothers, grandmothers, foster moms, guardians, aunties, and every woman who has ever loved a child like her own — today we celebrate you. 💐

A mother is more than just a title. A mother is comfort after a long day, gentle hands wiping away tears, and the safe place a child runs to when the world feels too heavy. Mothers carry so much that nobody sees — the sleepless nights, the sacrifices, the silent worries, and the mental load of those days where you feel you’re barely keeping your head above water — all so their children can feel loved, protected, and seen. ❤️

Communities are not built by buildings or streets. They are built by the hearts inside the homes. And at the center of so many homes is a mother holding everything together with strength and patience — even when she’s exhausted enough to need some support of her own. Moms teach kindness, respect, compassion, courage, and hope. They raise future leaders, caregivers, dreamers, and changemakers. The love of a mother creates the kind of foundation that can change an entire generation.

A mother’s love has the power to heal broken hearts and bring peace into chaos. Even on the hardest days, when you feel like you’ve lost your cool or fallen short of the "perfect" mom image, you continue to show up — with tired eyes, full hearts, and unwavering devotion. That kind of honest, resilient love is one of the purest gifts this world will ever know. 🌸

Today we honor every mother who gives endlessly, loves deeply, and carries her family and community. Thank you for every hug, every lesson, every sacrifice, every encouraging word, and every moment you chose love even when it was messy and hard. The world is softer, stronger, and brighter because of mothers.

Freedom is not always loud.
Sometimes, it looks like a mother making impossible choices… quietly, bravely.

This Freedom Day, we are holding the story of Mama K.

Recently widowed after the tragic loss of her husband, she is now raising her two boys on her own. Her youngest finds daily care and safety at our Centre. Her eldest—bright, determined, and top of his grade—is preparing to finish primary school this year, with hopes of earning a scholarship to a local private school.

It should be a moment of promise.

But for families like theirs, freedom is fragile.

Because of the complexities facing children whose parents are of foreign origin, even success does not guarantee stability. There is a real risk that his education could be interrupted—or that, one day, his achievements may not be formally recognised due to paperwork beyond his control.

And so Mama K carries a weight no parent should have to bear.

She is working hard to further her own qualifications through our Village Learning Café, hoping to secure a better future for her boys. At the same time, she is considering sending her eldest to boarding school in her home country—an opportunity, yes… but one that may come at the cost of daily togetherness.

We wish families did not have to choose between opportunity and staying together.

This is the quieter work of freedom we witness every day.

The freedom to learn.
The freedom to belong.
The freedom to stay connected as a family.

At Embrace Village, we stand alongside families like Mama K’s—holding space, creating pathways, and doing what we can to ensure that freedom is not just a promise, but something that can be lived.

Roots down, hands in the dirt, hearts full. 🌱✨

This Earth Day, we’re celebrating the beautiful cycle of growth at Embrace Village. From our little ones discovering the magic of muddy hands to our dedicated garden team working tirelessly to cultivate the land, we believe that when we nourish the earth, we nourish our future.

To keep our gardens flourishing and our sustainable food journey growing, we’re looking for a few "Earth-friendly" essentials. If you’d like to help us grow, we are in need of:

Fertilizer: Guanoboost or Talborne Organics Vita (our favorites!)

Protection: Biogrow Pyrol or Biogrow Copper Soap (highly needed!)

Essentials: Manure and Garden Hoses.

Seeds: We have plenty for now, but always welcome any additions!

As the seasons change, the heart of our village remains the same 💛

Every day, families and little ones still need the basics to live with dignity and care. Currently, we’re urgently in need of sugar, toiletries, cleaning supplies, and nappies (sizes 3 & 4).
