Food Security – AbaQulusi Localities

SEF Participants from the Sasko and Bhekuzulu localities in AbaQulusi have started selling produce harvested from their community gardens. This marks an important step towards promoting sustainability, food security, and income generation within the programme. The crops produced through the gardening projects are now beginning to create financial opportunities for participants while also supporting local food availability within the community.

The agricultural training previously conducted by the Department of Agriculture played a significant role in helping participants understand not only the agricultural side of crop production, but also the business aspect of food security initiatives.
