The mind is a terrible place to get stuck in, yet there are all the answers, and some of them are like a bitter pill.

I started Ode and Anarchy to present musicians in South Africa- not only musicians, but OUR artists who just do not get seen. I was rushing through it, even though it felt endless, and it just never got done.

I was rushed by an upcoming surgery, knowing I was losing my job. I wanted something to do while I was recovering. NO, I wanted to do something for myself. I love art and always have...ART in all its beautiful colours, meanings, perspectives, and forms.

At first I thought I wanted it for those that are living the way I do. I should have thought, Knowing, we aren't all the same, and I am not one to fall into a trend or what the f**k ever.

If you write anything and want to be read. Fu***ng Do it!
If you are looking for a band to join or join you, LOOK f**king harder.
If you are a painter or what the f**k ever, project yourself.

BUT...

For the love of pure art, do not follow people's ideas of how to.

This is you, this is who you are, do it with f**king heart, and do not listen to anyone except you yourself. You will regret it.

Now, why Ode and Anarchy?

It is a promise to oneself that you won't follow the sheep, the greedy motherf**kers out there to suck the coin out of you. A promise to stay humble to your truest part that defines who you truly are.

It's the middle finger in the church, school, parliament, business world... it's a f**k you to those that want to overpower you with fear, anxiety, depression, panic attacks and everything they are throwing at you to label you in their broken world.

It is the will to stand on that pedestal and take your name back from their filthy mouths....

Why TatteredStraightJacket?

I broke through my restraints in life; I have beaten the slump life gave me, I said f**k you to a life that clearly doesn't suit me.

I write what I want!
I see the beauty in the eye of the storm!
I breathe through the thick poison they give you to silently kill you and spit it out!
I refuse to back down!
I smile when the earth shatters and everything is burned to s**t!
I wiped my tears years ago...this is where I pledge my Ode to Anarchy!!!!!!!

I will take everything I was dealt and renew Ode And Anarchy...

Not everyone understands US...f**king A
I want to show my dark "evil" art...and show yours if you want me to. So the website will change. I am only learning now how to do it....so be patient. I am not a developer or designer. I will however, do it to the best of my ability.

Whatever you do, wherever you are....Do it to the best of your ability and strive to be better at it every f**king day.

I've been absent for months and may still be for months.

Fighting a personal battle that is teaching me a f**k load, yet it consumes so much energy.

I steal time to jam and even though it hurts, I push through.

I'm writing when I can. What I am writing is beyond what I thought I'm capable of.

As soon as the doctors and surgeons are done with me, I am back full force.

We got rid of an infection, which should have taken me away, but I'm too f**king stubborn to let go.

An open wound needs to close once the hole on my intestines healed.
Then major surgery and another 2 to 3 months healing.

By far the worst hell I've encountered and along the way, see family and friends for whom they truly are. Picking or shedding dead skin. See, every journey is worth while.
