🌟 Day 2 of our 3-Day Youth Day Workshop at Langebaan Primary! 🌟

Yesterday, our learners explored the importance of resilience through fun and interactive activities. They completed an obstacle course, reflected on their future goals, identified possible challenges, and discussed the skills they will need to achieve them.

They also worked together to build a tower using straws and paper, where they had to choose a leader, speaker, and motivator, strengthening their teamwork and leadership skills.

A special thank you to Mfesane Velddrif Youth Café for facilitating an engaging and inspiring Day 2. 💙

Today's focus was Emotional Awareness. Our prefects were energetic, curious, and ready to learn as we explored emotions, empathy, working under pressure, and the iceberg of emotions.

These young leaders showed incredible emotional intelligence, compassion, and a willingness to grow. We are excited to continue this journey with them over the next two days. 💙

A heartfelt thank you to the members of the Saldanha Bay SAPS for dedicating their time and effort to our communities during Child Protection Week. Your presence, support, and commitment to the safety and well-being of our children are truly appreciated.

While Child Protection Week shines a spotlight on these important issues, we hope that the awareness, education, and support continue throughout the year. Our children need us to show up for them every day.

Let us continue informing our communities about where to seek help when facing abuse, neglect, bullying, or any form of harm. Teachers, social workers, SAPS members, and other trusted adults are always willing to help—you just need to speak up and reach out.

We ended this special week with a fostercare support group session, creating a space to connect, share experiences, and celebrate the incredible role foster parents play in the lives of children.

Badisa Weskus with the SAPS visited Louwville High School , Eden Primary School Grade R, and Masiphathisane Primary in Witteklip VREDENBURG Grade R during Child Protection Week.

Learners were taught about bullying awareness, body safety, and where to report abuse and neglect. It is important that every child knows their rights and feels safe to speak up.

💚💚Child Protection Week Appreciation💚💚

Monique Potgieter Van Zyl, Riaan Potgieter and the personnel of Tyre Mart Vredenburg proudly wore Poppie stickers during Child Protection Week to demonstrate their commitment to caring for and protecting our children.
We sincerely appreciate their support of the Poppie Project and their willingness to help raise awareness about the importance of child protection. By wearing these stickers, they showed that keeping children safe is a responsibility shared by the entire community.
