🍽️ A Taste of Tradition & Comfort 🍽️

On May 22, 2025, we served Vetkoek and Mince, accompanied by a crisp and refreshing Beetroot Salad—a meal that brought warmth, nourishment, and a vibrant touch to every plate. The golden-brown vetkoek, soft on the inside and filled with rich, flavorful mince, delivered a true sense of comfort. The beetroot salad added a bold splash of color and freshness, making the meal wholesome and satisfying for all.

🍽️ A Flavorful Feast & A Fresh Look 🍽️

On May 15, 2025, we served a hearty Chicken Curry Bunny, paired with a fresh coleslaw and a juicy orange—a meal bursting with warmth, nourishment, and care. It was one of our most complimented dishes, loved for its rich flavor and comforting taste. The amazing flavor made every bite unforgettable!

We also proudly presented ourselves in our newly embroidered shirts, generously sponsored by George! Thank you for your support, George! Your kindness helps us continue spreading hope and unity.

🍽️ A Meal of Comfort & Community 🍽️

On April 17, 2025, Smeltpot Van Hoop brought people together over a classic South African favorite—Pap and Wors. More than just a meal, it was a celebration of nourishment, warmth, and community.

"Food is the ingredient that binds us together." ❤️

Every plate served was a reminder that hope grows when we come together.

April 10, 2025, marked both sorrow and renewal—Janine Conway’s farewell and the official launch of Smeltpot Van Hoop.
To honor her legacy, we shared a warm, comforting meal with each family: Rice and Curried Mince, Potato Salad, and a delightful dessert—Pumpkin Fritter with Caramel Sauce and Custard. As a special touch, everyone received an Easter Egg.
Though we grieve, we continue her vision, ensuring her kindness and generosity live on through every meal served and every heart touched.
