MP Chris Malematja, together with the councillors of Vosloorus, invited Eskom to engage with community members regarding the rollout of split electricity meters.

The meeting provided residents with an opportunity to receive first-hand information about the implementation process, ask questions, and raise concerns. Eskom officials outlined the benefits of the split meter system and responded to issues affecting households in the community.

The engagement forms part of ongoing efforts by community leadership and Eskom to improve service delivery and ensure that residents are well informed about developments affecting their electricity supply.

Standing Together Against GBVF 🌟

On 09 December 2025, the community of Vosloorus gathered at Jesus Reigns Ministries for a life-changing program focused on Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF), with special attention to our elderly citizens.

🙏 We were deeply honored to be in the presence of Bishop N. Duda, who led us in a heartfelt prayer for the curbing of the scourge of GBVF in our homes, communities, and nation. His words reminded us that faith and unity are powerful tools in the fight against violence.

🤝 The day was enriched by the contributions of key stakeholders:
- SASA – empowering elders with knowledge on grants and fraud prevention.
- Department of Cogta – strengthening community structures and support systems.
- POWA (People Opposing Women Abuse) – addressing emotional abuse and offering guidance.
- Thuthuzela NGO – providing resources and hope for survivors.

✨ The atmosphere was filled with wisdom, healing, and empowerment. Questions that weighed heavily on hearts—especially around emotional abuse—were answered with compassion and clarity. Everyone left with valuable information, renewed strength, and a sense of belonging.

💜 This was more than just a program—it was a movement of hope and resilience. Together, we are building a safer, informed, and united Vosloorus.
