• Degree in Social Work

• Clearance in terms of the Child Protection Register

• Knowledge of current developments in the welfare sector

The new manager at SAVF Louis Hildebrandt Child and Youth Centre have created a nurturing environment where children can be kids, despite their challenges.

She and the staff at the facility have ensured various activities from nature walks to learning new skills.

This shows a deep understanding of what children need to thrive. Thank you to the manager for making these children feel seen, heard, and loved.

Providing a home for children at SAVF Louis Hildebrandt Child and Youth Care Centre 010 - 905 NPO also means ensuring nutritious meals daily - and with growing teenagers these meals have to be filling.

Our manager consulted with dieticians who provides us with weekly menus - ensuring that each child receives a balanced diet.

These home-cooked meals not only fill the tummies - these meals are also prepared in the homes on our campus - and seeing how to prepare meals teach the children new skills.

This homely approach have led to children wanting to waiter and become chefs - giving each one the sense of belonging.
