ANOTHER IMPACTFUL PARTNERSHIP!

There is something beautiful that happens when people choose to come together for a greater purpose. Today, we celebrate another incredible partnership at our community centre! 🙏🏽

Food for Love Africa has joined hands with us and will be providing one nutritious meal every week for the children who attend our community centre. 🥘❤️

Our dream is to provide a meal at every programme we run at our community centre. We are believing, praying and trusting that together, we can make this a reality.

Sinakekele Children Community Centre News 🗞️ 🏏

A Bright New Chapter for KFC Mini Cricket in Our Oakford Community 🥳

On the 5th and 6th of October, we hosted a two-day KFC Mini Cricket coaching clinic, and what a celebration it was!

Led by Nduduzo Ngcobo-Twala (KFC Mini Cricket Coordinator for
KZN Cricket.)

The clinic had been eagerly anticipated, and it delivered on every bit of that excitement.

KFC Mini Cricket has traditionally found its way to children through schools. For the very first time, it has openly accepted an invitation to run through an NGO, and our community had the privilege of welcoming it. Twenty-one participants were expected, and twenty-one showed up, for both days. It was a wonderful turnout from a group that never needed convincing. Bats were swung, balls were chased, and laughter rang across the field as the children simply had fun.

The success of these two days has opened the door to something lasting. We are delighted to share that coaching sessions will now take place twice a month, with two teams: a Junior team for our youngest players, and a Senior team for our Under 9 to Under 12 players.

Our heartfelt thanks go to KFC Mini Cricket and Nduduzo for believing in this community and for the passion they brought to the field.

We look forward to a fruitful partnership, and to building more bridges with sporting bodies that share our belief that every child deserves a place on the field.

The first over has been bowled, and we cannot wait for the innings ahead.

Our faithful self propelled heavy duty mower has been working for us for the past 14 years. Currently her insides are out...
she is in ICU and needs some urgent surgery.

We need R5000.00 to cover her repair costs. 🫣

These are the moments we live for at Sinakekele. Our community children bring so much joy into our lives, and it is our greatest delight and privilege to be chosen to serve them. 💛

When women gather with intention, beautiful things happen.💛

On Saturday, we had the delightful pleasure of welcoming the ladies from Grub back to Sinakekele!

They spent time with our little ones in the nursery, exploring the land, and running a joy-filled programme in our community outreach space—with face paint, games, vibing music and generous donations.

But what stood out most was their presence. They were completely engaged with our children, and you could feel the love and intention behind everything they had prepared. It was such a treat!

Grub Club, intriguing name... Let us share this inspiring story with you ❤️

What began as monthly dinners between sisters and friends has grown into a community of almost 800 women across Durban and Jozi. Grub creates spaces where women can connect across differences, explore beyond their familiar circles, support local and leave a little braver than they arrived.

They truly lived that purpose on our land.

Thank you to every woman who joined us—and to Jazz for leading the way. We are so grateful. 💕
