Proudly Three Rivers NPO

Proudly Three Rivers NPO "Working together will make us stronger " By doing the above the value of your property will be enhanced.

OVERVIEW :

The Proudly Three Rivers organisation was founded by a group of business men from Three Rivers who were concerned about the deterioration of our suburb. The founding members of the group came to the realization that unless members of the community were to get actively involved on a personal level, infrastructures in Three Rivers would drastically deteriorate to the point where families

would no longer be able to live a dignified life in an acceptable, safe and healthy environment. VISION:

To restore our suburbs infrastructure to working and maintainable levels, thus enhancing the health and safety of residents, the public and enforcing resource conservation. MISSION:

To take hands with the local Emfuleni Municipality and other stakeholders in order to assist the residents of Three Rivers, by creating a unified platform where the residents, local businesses and municipality can come together to discuss the concerns we have and to find a way forward. APPROACH:

In order to achieve our vision we will concentrate on infrastructure services where the residents and local business can make a contribution towards the implementation / outcome of the projects that we undertake. We will focus on the areas that are of greater concern to the residents, while assisting the residents with minor tasks as and when they are brought to our attention. We will always operate within the confines of the law and with the permission of the local authorities. When we pool our strength and share the work and responsibility we will be able to achieve much. Committee:

Where does Proudly Three Rivers work? A quick guide to how we use your contributions šŸ› ļøšŸŒ±

We love keeping our beautiful suburb clean, safe, and running smoothly. Because we manage community-funded resources, we always want to be 100% transparent about the strict legal and operational guidelines we must follow regarding where and how we spend our time, machinery, and funds.

To keep everyone on the same page, here is a quick breakdown of our boundaries:

What we DO maintain: Public roads, public pavements, and public green belts. If it belongs to the municipality and the entire community uses it daily, we are on it!

What we CANNOT maintain: Private or institutional property. This includes internal roads or parking bays inside private residential complexes, private business premises, and institutional grounds (such as schools or churches).

"Can we just buy the materials, offer a partnership, or use our monthly contribution to fix our private property?"
We often get asked to take on maintenance or repair jobs for private properties and institutions—sometimes in exchange for signage, exposure, or offers to buy the raw materials (like tar or asphalt). We also get asked by residents if we can fix the potholes inside their specific residential complexes.

As a registered NPO, we simply cannot do this. Our team, equipment, and time are 100% dedicated to urgent public infrastructure. We do not have the capacity to act as a commercial asphalt contractor or a private garden service, nor can we legally divert community contributions towards private property upgrades.

When we have to say no, it is never personal. It’s simply us staying compliant, respecting our mandate, and protecting the funds entrusted to us by our residents.

Thank you to the incredible community members and businesses who support Proudly Three Rivers purely to see our suburb thrive as a whole! šŸ¤
