If someone is trying their hardest to be a better individual, then they definitely deserve a second chance. Giving people a second chance doesn't make you stupid or dumb. It makes you stronger because you're allowing yourself to accept the fact that people can change. Modiehi Mongale Foundation aims at giving hope to second chance in life for offenders and previously detainees in South Africa and

beyond by addressing problems that they face with the aim to help break the cycle of re-offending and assisting them with re-integration back to the society. We are a determined non-profit organization that is fully committed to its principles and driven goals to be a success. Modiehi Mongale Foundation is registered with Department Of Social Development under 195-503 NPO (http://www.npo.gov.za/PublicNpo/Npo) and has been re-established in order to assist previously incarcerated individuals generate income from their God-given talent and skills acquired during their time in detention. By this we aim to reduce the cycle of re-offending, poverty and encourage skills, career and enterprise development.

“Second Chance are not given to make things right but they are given to prove that we can do better even after we fail”

Behind every criminal record is a human being.
A mother. A father. A young person who made a mistake — but still carries dreams, purpose, and untapped potential.

At the Modiehi Mongale Foundation, we don’t just see records… we see PEOPLE.

We see resilience in the face of rejection.
We see courage in the journey of starting over.
We see strength in choosing transformation over despair.

Every day, countless individuals are denied opportunities — not because of who they are today, but because of who they once were. And that is the cycle we are committed to breaking.

A second chance is not a privilege. It is a pathway to restoring dignity, rebuilding families, and strengthening communities.

Let’s shift the narrative.
Let’s choose compassion over judgment.
Let’s open doors that have long been closed.

Because when one person rises, we ALL rise.
