Dearest Ramaphosa Informal Settlement Community Members,
"Mark 3:24-25 if a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand."
I would've preferred a voice note, however for this purpose I had to write. Our history as Ramaphosa Informal Settlement deserves to be written so that we don’t take this place for granted. I hope Ramaphosa Informal Settlement community will learn that, there's nothing we can do without UNITY/KOPANO/MANYANO... Ramaphosa Informal Settlement was build through unity, and purpose and without it, we will always be arm chair revolutionaries, who are always complaining on WhatsApp platforms.
I hope all of us will wake up before it's too late. There are battles that we won and defeated as a united community. On the 10th April 2019, a battle between the red ants and the community of Ramaphosa Informal Settlement was won through unity and team work. Some of you came from far away places to come and join the fight in order to build a better future for your families and children.
I hope all of us will remember who we are and not play politics. One must focus on the goal, which is Development for Ramaphosa Informal Settlement. I can promise you one thing for sure, that is, development will never happen without unity and team work.
I must also remind you that blood was shared for this place to be here. Comrade Chana was shot and killed during the fight between red ants and the community of Ramaphosa Informal Settlement 💔💔💔😭and may his soul rest in peace, later on we also lost comrade Sindy in the process, may her soul rest in peace.
I will not stand here and watch critics undermine our history, undermine the blood that was shared in Ramaphosa Informal Settlement. All of us stood together in this fight, including the very same ward councillor that some of you are now taking for granted.
If some of you have forgotten, I will remind you Bahlali. He was the Chairperson of the ANC at that time and not once did the the ANC turn it's back during the red ants SAGA, not once Bahlali and I believe that it will never ever turn its back against our community or country.
Ramaphosa Informal Settlement has a voting district today, Bahlali, even IEC and Emfuleni Municipality recognises it as a community, that's an achievement Baahi. "We are now voting in our own VD."
In 2020 By-election and 2021 Local government election most of us voted in Rustervaal and Arconpark VD however for these Election, we will be voting at Flames of fire Church, Baahi, this is a milestone and an achievement that all of us should be proud of.
Some people would want to discourage you because they are electioneering however let's not forget where we come from Bahlali.... We come from a history where blood was shared on the very soil of Ramaphosa Informal Settlement so that some of us may have land, title deeds, businesses, ECD centers and homes for our families and children and the next generation.
Let's work together and stop these squabbles for the sake of our families, children and the next generation. History will judge us and History has no blank pages 🖤💚💛💯
's normalise unity, love and team work in our beloved community ✊
Forever an Activist
