🐾💙 ODIE THE GOOD BOY… AND MR. DISAPPEARING CAT! 😂🐱

Today was Odie’s big day! 💙🐾

This sweet boy was castrated and vaccinated today, and what an absolute gentleman he was! 🥰 He handled everything like a little champion. We are so proud of you, Odie! ❤️

BUT… there was supposed to be TWO cats getting their important vet work done today. 🤦‍♀️😂

Unfortunately, the second gentleman apparently activated his Spidey senses 🕷️🕸️ and decided that something suspicious was happening…

And just like that… P**F! 💨

He disappeared! 😂😂

Clearly he received the memo about the appointment and decided that “NOPE, NOT TODAY!” was the appropriate response. 🤣🐈

So today we got one handsome boy sorted, and the other little escape artist will have to be caught another day! 😜

Odie, you were an absolute sweetheart. 💙 Thank you for being such a good boy! 🥰

🐾💔 **BEULA’S STORY – A PAINFUL INJURY THAT NO DOG SHOULD HAVE TO ENDURE** 💔🐾

Today, this beautiful girl, **Beula**, was taken to the vet after her owner discovered a **very bad, gaping wound on her side**. 💔

⚠️ **GRAPHIC PHOTO WARNING:** The photo included with this post is graphic and shows Beula’s wound. Please be mindful before opening it, especially if you are sensitive to such images.

We have no idea how Beula sustained this injury. Her owner doesn't know what happened either, but looking at the wound, we can only imagine **how much pain and suffering this poor girl must have endured.** 😢

Beula will be spending the next day or two at the vet so that her wound can be properly treated. The vet needs to carefully remove all the **dead and damaged scar tissue** before the wound can be stitched closed.

For now, she is in the safest place she can be — **in the hands of people who can help her heal.** ❤️‍🩹

We can only wonder how long she carried this wound and how frightened and uncomfortable she must have been. Dogs cannot tell us where it hurts or ask us for help. They simply endure. 💔

But Beula is now getting the care she desperately needs, and we are praying that she will heal quickly and that this beautiful girl will soon be comfortable and pain-free again. 🐾❤️

Hierdie pragtige Dapple Worshondjie het ongeveer 3 weke gelede op Nieuwoudtville beland, en ons probeer dringend haar eienaars opspoor. 🏡❤️

Sy is ’n tefie, en dit lyk nie of sy gesteriliseer is nie. Sy het die mooiste blou ogies en is ’n baie vriendelike hondjie.

Sy is tans veilig en word goed versorg, maar ons glo daar is dalk iemand wat haar baie mis. 🥺🐾

🐾❤️ A HEARTFELT THANK YOU TO OK MINIMARK VANDRHYNPSDORP ❤️🐾

Today, our hearts are filled with gratitude. We received a wonderful donation of adult and puppy dog food from OK Minimark Vanrhynsdorp, and we simply cannot express how much this means to us and, most importantly, to the animals 🐶🐾

For us, a bag of dog food is so much more than just food. It means full tummies, wagging tails, stronger bodies and another day knowing that these animals will not go hungry. ❤️

Running a small organisation like Compassion 4 Paws Mobile Unit is not always easy. Every bit of support makes a difference, and donations like this remind us that we are not alone in the work we do.

🐾💔 LITTLE BELLA — WE THOUGHT SHE WAS GOING BLIND… BUT SHE WAS MUCH SICKER THAN WE REALISED 💔🐾

Today we took little Bella, just 10 months old, to the vet because her owner noticed a milky white film over her eyes. Our biggest fear was that this precious little girl was losing her sight. 😢

Little did we know that Bella was actually very sick.

At the vet, her temperature was a frightening 40°C. A blood smear was taken and the vet diagnosed her with a viral infection which has affected her eyes. The cloudy appearance we were seeing was therefore not simply a problem with her eyesight — it was a sign that something much more serious was going on.

Bella received an antibiotic injection, eye drops and antibiotics to continue at home. We also purchased a NexGard Spectra for her to help protect her against ticks, fleas and other parasites.

But we didn't stop there. ❤️

We took our little girl home with some good-quality puppy food, a warm, cosy blanket and lots of love. 🥰🐶

And because prevention matters so much, the other two dogs in the home also received NexGard Spectra.

This is why we always say: please don't ignore the small changes you notice in your animals. A cloudy eye, a change in behaviour, not eating, weakness or simply seeming “not quite right” can sometimes be the first sign that something is seriously wrong. Well done to her owner for reaching out when he noticed something was wrong.

Bella's story is another reminder that our animals cannot tell us when they are hurting. We have to notice. We have to act. We have to give them a voice. ❤️

Tonight Bella is home, warm and comfortable, receiving her medication and being cared for.

Please keep this little girl in your thoughts as she fights her way back to health. 🙏🐾❤️
