INTRODUCING OUR JUDGES :
Clare Maloney
A well - known and respected judge in SA. An amazing and knowledgeable horseman! She will be judging our Ridden classes!
We asked Clare these few questions:
โขWhat makes the biggest impression, when a contender enters the arena ?
A: Turnout of horse and rider. Quality and type (breed type) in this instance is critically important. Condition and schooling of the animal is just as important.
โขIf you could give all the contenders one piece of advice , what would it be?
A: One bit of advice is โฆ preparation. Being show ready does not happen overnight. It takes weeks, months and more. Being well prepared starts at home. The arena is your shop window, and what you put out there is testament to what you have put in at home. Good instruction is a must , and an understanding of the classes you are riding is equally important. Every class is judged differently and have its own set of rules regarding dress , equipment , bits , etc. NB ! KNOW YOUR RULES !
โขWhat do you like the most of the Arabian breed ?
A: What I love most about the Arabian Breed is their incredible intelligence, sheer beauty , and work ethic. The Arabian horse , to me , is the horse that God made last. He carefully moulded the Arabian to be perfect in every way.
We as the Northern Cape Arabian Horse club are extremely excited to have you as a judge for our Show.
