Almost 130 years apart โ€” yet here they are, sharing the same landscape.

In the distance, the old farm buildings stand quietly โ€” most designed by Br. Streicher and built by local people and fellow Trappist monks in the 1890s.

Today, the scene is very different. A diesel tractor moves through the fields, reaping the crop and churning up clouds of dust.

And, just like farmers have done for generations, the farm manager is keeping a close eye on the weather predictions, hoping for the right conditions.

A beautiful glimpse of the past meeting the present at Reichenau Mission.
