Sibanye LGBT Organisation is a registered NPO with the department of Social development under the NPO ACT 71 of 1997. Since registering the organisation in November our profile has grown from being a mere support group to a functional representation of the LGBTIAQ community in the Nelson Mandela Metro, and a recipient of the Special Sectors Recognition Award from the Nelson Mandela Municipality. W
e have strive to create a culture of health and wellness in the community we serve. In serving our community we wanted sure that we were responsive to the needs of our trusted and valued stakeholders, partners and mostly our fellow Key Population, Living with HIV, to ensure that we can proactively take part in the response to HIV pandemic and cross cutting issues within the LGBTIAQ, MSM and S*x Work community. We convened with our stakeholders & beneficiaries and reflect internally about who we are, what are we striving to do and what we need to achieve it. These discussions were crucial in shaping our services to suit the need of our beneficiaries. OUR MISSION
