A heartbreaking day, not just in the pageantry industry but everywhere else. We are so saddened and deeply devastated. Rest easy Angel! You were such a light and we are sorry.

On the surface, she lived a dream life: Miss USA, successful attorney, national TV correspondent. But for reasons we may never fully understand, on this cold Sunday morning in New York City, Cheslie Kryst left a su***de note behind and ended her life. She was only 30 years old.

Meet Masindi Khangala , a 16 year old from Mulati village and currently in grade 11 at DZJ Mtebule High School. She is the found of Power_To_She which is an initiative that seeks to inspire and empower young girls to be great and also teach and expose them to greater opportunities.

She entered Miss GTRN because she wants to inspire young girls from her village to have a voice. She believes that a leader should be fearless, confident and courageous which are qualities she believes she possesses.
