Responsible organization & distribution of food and resources for the hungry and needy in Tulbagh. Hunger affects the entire fabric of Tulbagh — socially, economically and emotionally. When vulnerable people have no safe place to eat or seek support, the whole community feels the impact: increased desperation, instability and strain on public spaces. This project creates a structured, permanent feeding and upliftment hub that brings stability, dignity and real solutions to the town.

Yes! We are busy with an extraordinary project in Tulbagh town to help channel the begging and the dependency away from you.

In stead of paying someone for begging and creating more begging, please pay us.

We use the funds to create a good educational environment with a system to help with ID's, registrations, CV's, job creation, cleaning up our town, responsibility and many more.

What Pantry Partners Tulbagh and Food4Good Soup Kitchen Tulbagh stands for:

As many of us already know, empowering a person to "learn to fish" is better than just handing out food.

We are creating an educational platform, community gardens and a rehabilitation centre available to the greater community, to provide food, activities and more to empower people to find purpose and work.

It's a place where you and our town visitors can direct impoverished people begging for food and money.

A safe suitable home to fulfill our objective and start building a constructive solution for our town.

This is not ideal. The hungry and poor are to be served on the street, and eat on the pavements.

Good news, though. We secured premises for Food4Good Soup Kitchen Tulbagh next to the Witzenville Community Hall and once we have completed development, meals will be prepared and served there.

BUT: Instead of complaining about people eating in the street, support us with the development of the property.

Pantry Partners supports the NPO Food4Good in Tulbagh. The local Magic Soup Kitchen, run by Lenie May and Cecelia Malies who are associated with Food4Good Soup Kitchen Tulbagh , held their annual Christmas lunch for the children sponsored by The South African National Tuberculosis Association (SANTA) and invited Pantry Partners to be part of the occasion.

Stop creating dependency

To not entrap a beggar in an endless cycle of dependency, we need to . Create other opportunities for the really needy and hungry.

To limit the need to beg because of hunger, our goal is to serve at least a good meal every day of the week. There is thus no for a hungry person to beg for food.

We're calling on all businesses and farms to support our tireless efforts in collecting and delivering excess food and fruits to our local needy community and soup kitchens.

Our dedicated team works daily in the sweltering heat to ensure that those in need receive the support they deserve.

However, our vehicle is in urgent need of a service and aircon repair to continue our vital work.

Request for Fencing Materials Donation for Community Garden and Soup Kitchen HUB

Pantry Partners is renting a piece of land where we need to secure proper facilities for Food4Good Soup Kitchen Tulbagh.

We're reaching out to ask for your support in securing fencing materials for our community garden and kitchen, which provides fresh produce for our soup kitchen, not only serving the poor and homeless in our area but re-integrate and create opportunities for our homeless and vulnerable population to contribute and thrive.

*We're seeking donations of fencing materials, including wire mesh, posts, and gates. Your contribution will directly impact the lives of our beneficiaries.

Give anything to a beggar and one encourages the begging.

Giving to a beggar = creates more begging.

Those who agree with this perspective argue that direct handouts can make begging more lucrative than working, thus discouraging individuals from seeking long-term employment and potentially perpetuating a cycle of dependency. Concerns also include the potential for the money to be used for substance abuse, funding organized crime, or supporting exploitative begging "businesses"

Direct cash donations might be used for drugs or alcohol, potentially perpetuating a cycle of addiction.

Give to a responsible organization who can monitor and give in an orderly fashion = this approach provides more effective, long-term help and addresses underlying issues.

Pantry Partners (307-709) and Food4Good (307-440) are two registered Tulbagh NPOs
working together to build a permanent community feeding and upliftment hub.

We are PBO and Tax registered.

We’ve secured municipal land and are establishing a structured space that provides daily meals, a food garden, life-skills support and a path back into society for vulnerable individuals.

The need in Tulbagh is growing — many people have no daily meals, no safe place to sit and eat, and no access to support.

We are currently feeding people directly from our private vehicles while we prepare the land.

Let's organize the project and stop the begging in our streets. YES we can.
