STATEMENT BY THE PAN AFRICANIST STUDENT ORGANISATION OF AZANIA
ON DISCIPLINARY CONDUCT AND UNITY AMONGST PAC YOUTH AND STUDENT STRUCTURES
09 July, 2026
The Pan Africanist Student Organisation of Azania [PASO] notes with concern the public engagements currently taking place on social media between our sister structures, the Pan Africanist Student Movement of Azania [PASMA] and the Pan Africanist Youth Congress of Azania [PAYCO].
As the vanguard student movement of the Pan Africanist Congress of Azania [PAC], PASO believes that our internal political differences must never be fought in the public domain. Social media must be used to advance the ideals of Pan-Africanism, not to divide, insult, and weaken the very structures that are meant to lead our people tomorrow.
Africans, we have a duty to protect these structures.
PASMA and PAYCO are not enemies. They are components of one movement. They are the future leadership of the PAC of Azania. What we do today will determine the character and strength of the movement we inherit.
In light of this, PASO calls on the PAC of Azania to urgently call order on both PASMA and PAYCO.
We further advise the PAC of Azania National Organizer to convene a PAC Youth Imbizo or National Youth and Students Conference that brings together all youth and student component structures of the PAC. This platform must be used to address all internal challenges, clarify roles, and reaffirm ideological discipline and organizational unity.
For now, PASO calls for immediate order and restraint on both structures. Let us take the debate back to the branches, to the structures, and to the mother body where it belongs.
The revolution needs disciplined cadres, not social media wars.
Let us build, not destroy. Let us unite, not divide.
Forward to a United, Ideological, and Disciplined Movement
