There is so much strength in a community of women who continue to show up for one another.

The women of Diepsloot play an important role in each other’s lives and in the lives of the children around them. From the women at our soup kitchen who help feed children every month, to those involved in our outreach at the Diepsloot Women’s Clinic, their care reaches further than they may realise.

Every meal served, every conversation and every moment of support matters.

In a time when many women are feeling afraid, being surrounded by women who care can make all the difference.

We are stronger when we look after one another and the children in our community 💛

Building support and making a difference, with meaningful partnerships at the root of it 🌱

We would also like to invite other organisations to partner with us and help us grow this initiative, because together, we can make an even bigger difference in the lives of those we serve.

The John Makola Soup Kitchen is a place where kindness and compassion fuel the souls who make a difference in the lives of the little feet that walk the streets of Diepsloot.

A heartfelt thank you to the incredible ladies who are so committed to supporting the Diepsloot community and its children, and for continuing to make a meaningful difference every day.
