Amazing Grace Upliftment Centre Amazing Grace Upliftment Centre, is an NPO. Together we can make a difference. Westlake is home to 12 000 local and foreign residents living on the bread line.

Amazing Grace's main objective is to empower and uplift the lives of children in the Westlake Community. Some of the children have never been given the basis of reading and writing. Others are from abused backgrounds and have difficulty in learning and communicating due to trauma or have physical setbacks. Amazing Grace Upliftment Centre aims to address this

imbalance by identifying children, of various ages, that need assistance to bridge the divide between a restricted development and a positive future. This can be achieved through individual focus on particular difficulties and offering the remedial opportunities to rectify them. Such disadvantages include, literacy and numeracy deficiencies, physical handicaps such as speech impediments, underdeveloped muscular systems, hearing and vision impairments and social imbalances. Our Aim is to introduce Occupational Therapists, Physio Therapists, Speech Therapists, Counselors, Psychologists and Remedial teachers. Our hope is that through the various remedial interactions, these children would be able to re-enter the normal schooling system. We would also like to introduce art, music sport and dancing classes for kids who might not have an academic future, either from fetal alcohol syndrome or other mental impairments. The organisations secondary objective is to work with other organisations and ECD's in the community, to identify where problems exist and to remedy them together. We also aim to assist with other community projects, such as soup kitchens, kids club etc, where possible. We would like to arrange talks where the parents int he community can be taught how to assist with the remedial process. Life is a Gift and it offers us the privilege, opportunity and responsibility to give something back by becoming more.

CELEBRATE MANDELA DAY at Amazing Grace Upliftment Centre.
With Mandela Day only as few weeks away, we are reaching out to see if you as an individual or corporate would like to get involved with Amazing Grace Upliftment Centre in Westlake.
There are many ways to get involved.
We will be celebrating on Friday 17th July at our offices - 121 Lynx Way.
1. Come and spend time with our kids that attend our Amazing Kids program.
Bring an activity to do with them or just come and spend time in the class.
2. Spend time with the kids at our Safe House, Vulindlela.
3. Come and serve at our soup kitchen at 12:30.
4. Collect donations for our feeding scheme. (See below)
5. Drop off kids clothing, toys or snacks for the kids.
6. Make a financial donation.
TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE COMMUNITY OF WESTLAKE.

The kids that attend our Amazing Kids program are so blessed to be able to go to Tom Ro Haven on Friday mornings. This is the highlight of the week. They get to run free on the field, dance, groom the horses and enjoy delicious snacks.

We need your help!
At Amazing Grace Upliftment Centre we feed 50 Kids and 100 Adults each day. With it being winter and being cold, more people are coming for a warm bowl of food. We are asking for any donations to help us fill our pantry so we can continue feeding the community of Westlake. We appreciate all the support.
