PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT: COMPLAINT REGARDING POOR SERVICE DELIVERY AT TSHILIDZINI HOSPITAL

Vendalothe Legal Solutions a Non-Profit Organisation

Vendalothe Legal Solutions hereby informs members of the public that the organisation has taken a decision, in the public interest, to lodge a formal complaint against Tshilidzini Hospital in Limpopo Province regarding concerns relating to poor service delivery and unreasonable delays in attending to patients.

The organisation has received complaints and concerns regarding patients allegedly experiencing prolonged waiting periods before receiving medical attention. Such delays may have serious consequences for patients and may undermine their right to access quality and timely healthcare services.

Vendalothe Legal Solutions will formally approach the Hospital Management and relevant authorities within the Limpopo Department of Health, requesting:

An urgent investigation into the complaints concerning delays in attending to patients;

An explanation regarding the causes of the alleged unreasonable delays;

Details of the measures currently in place to ensure that patients are attended to within a reasonable period;

Remedial steps and an action plan to address the identified service-delivery problems;

Measures to prevent the recurrence of unreasonable delays and poor service delivery; and

Regular monitoring and accountability mechanisms to ensure that the remedial measures are effectively implemented.

Vendalothe Legal Solutions emphasises that its intervention is not intended to attack individual healthcare workers, but rather to ensure accountability, proper administration and the delivery of healthcare services that respect the dignity and rights of patients.

The organisation calls upon the Hospital Management to treat this matter with the seriousness and urgency it deserves and to provide a substantive response setting out the remedial measures to be implemented.

ASSISTANCE TO UIF CLAIMANTS WHOSE BENEFITS HAVE NOT BEEN PAID

TO: ALL MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC WITHIN THE AREA VHEMBE DISTRICT & MALAMULELE WHO HAVE LODGED UIF CLAIMS WITHOUT SUCCESS

Vendalothe Legal Solution, a non-profit organisation committed to advancing and protecting the rights and interests of members of the public, hereby invites all persons who have lodged valid claims for Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) benefits but have not received their benefits, despite having complied with the applicable requirements, to approach the Organisation for assistance.

We have received concerns from members of the public regarding delayed, outstanding, rejected, or unresolved UIF claims, including instances where claimants have waited for extended periods without receiving a proper decision or payment.

OUR ASSISTANCE

Vendalothe Legal Solutions is prepared to assist affected UIF claimants, at no cost for the Organisation's assistance, in pursuing appropriate remedies against the UIF where justified.

The assistance may include:

1. Assessing the claimant's UIF claim and supporting documentation;

2. Assisting with enquiries and correspondence directed to the UIF;

3. Making appropriate representations and demands for the processing of outstanding claims;

4. Assisting claimants where the UIF has failed to provide a proper decision or explanation;

5. Taking appropriate legal and/or administrative steps to compel the UIF to process and, where the claimant is legally entitled, release and pay outstanding UIF benefits;

6. Pursuing appropriate relief where there has been unreasonable delay or failure by the UIF to perform its statutory obligations; and
Where appropriate, instituting proceedings before a competent court for an order compelling the UIF to process and pay benefits lawfully due to the claimant.

WHO MAY APPROACH US?

You may approach Vendalothe Legal Solution if:

1. You have lodged a UIF claim;
Your claim remains unresolved for an unreasonable period;

2. Your UIF benefits have been approved but have not been paid;

3. Your claim has been rejected or stopped without adequate reasons;

3. You have repeatedly contacted the UIF without receiving a satisfactory response; or
You believe that the UIF has failed or refused to properly process your claim.

WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING?

Affected persons are requested, where available, to provide:

1. Copy of identity document;

2. UIF reference/claim number;

3 Proof of submission of the UIF claim;

4. Employment information and relevant employment records;

5 Proof of termination of employment, where applicable;

6 UIF correspondence, SMSes, emails or notifications;

7 Proof of approval or rejection of the claim, if applicable;

8 Proof of previous enquiries or complaints made to UIF; and

9. Any other documents relating to the UIF claim.

PUBLIC INTEREST INITIATIVE

This initiative is undertaken in the public interest to assist vulnerable members of the public who may be unable to obtain UIF benefits to which they may be legally entitled.

No person should be left without a remedy merely because he or she lacks the financial means to pursue the matter.

Vendalothe Legal Solution therefore calls upon all affected UIF claimants to come forward so that their individual circumstances can be assessed and appropriate steps can be considered.

Today the 10th day of March 2026, we have instructed our Attorneys of record to demand from Vhembe District Municipality to dispatch a team of contractors specializing in water and sewerage reticulation to provide an immediate remedy for the burst sewerage pipeline at Thohoyandou P East, Cnr Magumo & Murangi Street and it is flowing spilling raw sewerage towards Tshiluvhi Primary school. If no positive response from the Municipality, we are taking them to court for an appropriate relief.

Time for change has come.
