Vhamandafhadzi Foundation is a registered NPC (Non-Profit Company) that has been set up largely by University students; Vhutshilo, Mpho, Obidience, Rofhiwa, Nomfanelo, Itumeleng, Wanga, Khathutshelo and others. The idea crops up from the low morale and pass rate in both matric and lower grades in our schools. We are intending on building, crafting and uplifting the conditions of rural-based learners who have the potential of furthering their studies towards universities, TVET Colleges and Leadership in communities.
Our main objective is to guide the youth in this respected schools to refrain from drug and alcohol abuse and also prepare them to participate in developing their lives and that of their communities, locally and internationally. We thus believe that we will be able to address, coach and mentor the above challenges by motivating learners to choose their preferred careers and help them apply at their preferred institutions. We also intend to tutor these identified learners so that they can achieve better results (academic excellence). As an advanced aspect we also intend on helping them adapt to student life once admitted into institutions of higher learning.
Since its inception, the VMF has helped many learners from Vhembe District to be students in South African universities. Several have graduated with their first degrees and some are now pursing their postgraduate studies. Vhamandafhadzi Foundation seek to unleash the full potential of rural dwellers.
