Boys’ Camp with was a time of adventure, friendship and growing in faith!

Beyond the activities and fun, it was an opportunity for young men to discover their identity in Christ, build one another up and be encouraged to live with purpose.

We’re grateful for partnerships that make spaces like these possible, investing in the young men they are becoming and the difference they can make in their communities.

Graydon shared on leaving a legacy as we bid farewell to this year’s SCA leaders. It’s been a fruitful year, and we’re praying that the ministry they started continues to grow as they step into the next chapter as Kingdom leaders.

*50 for 50: Facing My Fear to Help 50 Young People*

Many people who know me are aware of two things: I turn 50 today, and I have a fear of heights!

So, on my 50th birthday, I am going to face that fear by abseiling the world’s highest commercial abseil. I am doing it for my 50 for 50 Quest, trusting God to help us send 50 young people to camp.
Rather than receiving birthday gifts, I am inviting friends, family, churches, and partners to celebrate with me in one of two ways:
1. Help a young person go to camp
For many learners, a school camp is a normal part of their Grade 7, 10, or 11 year. For hundreds of young people, however, an experience like this is simply out of reach.
I still remember taking my first underprivileged learner to camp. This young person had never slept in a bed of their own and had never tasted a pie. It reminded me that things many of us take for granted can feel extraordinary to someone else.
But my hope goes far beyond providing a bed, a tasty meal, or even a first opportunity to see the ocean. I want young people to experience the joy of camp, build meaningful relationships, and discover the love of God in a safe and welcoming environment.
A full camp sponsorship is R1,200 per young person, but every contribution will help.

For my 50th birthday, I am trusting God to help us send 50 young people to camp, with a total goal of R60,000.

Sponsor one young person for R1,200

Join with friends or colleagues to sponsor a camper
Contribute any amount towards the R60,000 goal or
2. Become a monthly SU partner
You can help sustain Scripture Union’s ongoing ministry by signing up for a monthly debit order from as little as R99 per month, or by choosing any amount you feel led to give.
This regular support helps SU continue showing up in schools and communities, creating opportunities for young people to hear the Gospel, engage with Scripture, and be supported in their walk with God.
