📚✨ School Update – The Crags Primary School ✨📚

The Kurland School Project is pleased to share an update from The Crags Primary School as the second term is almost coming to an end.

The term began with the annual Buksie Athletics, where Grade R and selected Foundation Phase learners took part in a day of athletics and sporting activities, including netball. It was once again a great success and a highlight for the learners.

Winter sports, including netball and rugby, are now in full swing. The school is proud of the commitment shown by both learners and educators, with the netball teams performing strongly this season.

Despite five school days lost due to severe weather conditions, teaching and learning continues with dedication. Catch-up plans are in place, and learners are currently preparing for upcoming assessments and exams.

We are proud of the resilience and determination shown across the school community.

🏐 Celebrating our netball girls 🏐

Our U7, U8 and U9 mini netball girls recently took part in the Pep Mini Netball Festival — a wonderful experience filled with teamwork, learning and fun.

We are also incredibly proud of our U11, U12 and U13 players who progressed through to the Eden trials. Your hard work and dedication continue to inspire us.

We’re excited to be part of the upcoming Easter Market in Nature’s Valley 🐣🌿

The Kurland School Project will be hosting a book stall, with a selection of beautiful books available for purchase. All proceeds from book sales will go directly towards supporting the work of the Project.

The evening was filled with wonderful generosity and community spirit. The auction was a great success, and we are so grateful for the support shown.

The Kurland School Project was registered in 2005 as a Non-Profit Organisation and, over the past 20 years, has helped thousands of children from Kurland Village receive a better education than would otherwise have been possible.

Currently, the Project supports four teachers at the school. It is vital that this work continues to ensure that learners receive the quality education they deserve.

This past Saturday, we had the absolute joy of hosting the Zolani Youth Choir at the White House Theatre, and what an unforgettable night it was. The music, the passion, and the atmosphere were truly incredible.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us, supported the event, and continues to support the work of the Kurland School Project. Your presence and encouragement mean so much.

A huge thank you to the Zolani Youth Choir for their outstanding performance, and to Odwa Mvunge, the choir’s founder and conductor — your leadership, passion, and talent brought so much joy to everyone present.

We are so grateful for evenings like these that remind us of the power of music, community, and opportunity 💛
