Learning Today. Leading Tomorrow. 📚🌍

The Learn4Life (L4L) Programme continues to make a meaningful impact in our schools, creating spaces where learners can learn, participate, express themselves and prepare for the future.

Through our sessions, learners are engaging in Life Orientation, life skills, personal development, values, decision-making, entrepreneurship and future readiness.

As the sun began to rise over the mountains, the Mizizi group stood quietly at the foot of the trail, looking up at the peaks ahead. The climb seemed challenging, but they were determined to reach the top. One of the hikers smiled and said, “The mountains are calling, and I must go.” Those words from John Muir captured exactly how everyone felt.

As they climbed higher, the path became steeper and more demanding. There were moments when some wanted to give up, but they encouraged one another to keep moving forward. They remembered the words, “Every mountain top is within reach if you just keep climbing.” Step by step, they pushed through fatigue, rocky terrain, and self-doubt.

The journey taught Mizizians that life is much like climbing a mountain. There will always be obstacles, unexpected turns, and difficult stretches. Yet every challenge offers a lesson. As they neared the summit, they reflected on how perseverance had brought them this far.

Finally, they reached the top. The breathtaking view stretched beyond the horizon, and a sense of accomplishment filled their hearts. In that moment, they understood the truth behind the saying, “The best view comes after the hardest climb.” Standing together above the clouds, they realized that the mountain had given them more than a beautiful view—it had given them courage, resilience, and a reminder that great rewards come to those who refuse to stop climbing.

Mizizi the Roots would like to extend sincere appreciation to the Treasurer of the Board, Mr Ignatius Mokhatle, for successfully organising and facilitating a productive meet and greet engagement with the delegation from Maluti TVET College – Sefikeng Agri Campus.

Yesterday, Mizizi the Roots Thaba Nchu had the honour of hosting a delegation from the college which included the Campus Manager, Mr Ignatius Mokhatle, Farm Specialist, two Senior Lecturers, and the Placement Officer.

The visit created an important platform for engagement, knowledge sharing, and discussions around possible areas of collaboration between the two institutions. The interaction reflected a shared commitment towards youth empowerment, agricultural development, skills training, and community upliftment.

Mizizi the Roots highly appreciates the leadership, coordination, and dedication demonstrated by Mr Ignatius Mokhatle in making the engagement successful and impactful.

Mizizi the Roots is excited and looking forward to building a meaningful and sustainable partnership with Maluti TVET College – Sefikeng Agri Campus for the benefit of students, out-of-school youth, and the broader community.

It was a journey of connection, healing, teamwork, laughter, and youth empowerment. From every step climbed to every conversation shared, we witnessed strong roots growing brighter futures.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the experience unforgettable. The mountain tested us, but the spirit of unity carried us through 💚
