Meeting Little Gugu Again🌼🌼

On Monday, when we met as part of our 40 Days Spiritual Cleansing Journey, we ended our call by challenging ourselves to find a picture of our younger selves.

To be honest, I ignored the challenge at first.

I knew it would take me down memory lane, and I wasn't sure whether I had truly healed or whether parts of me were still stuck there.

As I searched through old photographs, I unexpectedly came across pictures of my ex-husband. My first instinct was to delete them quickly. But instead, I paused.

In that moment, I realized something important.

The pain I have carried was not only about losing a person. It was also about grieving the future I had imagined for myself the stable marriage, the growing family, the dreams we were building together.

And yet, as I continued searching, I found this little girl. ❤️

Looking at her, I couldn't help but smile.

Dear Little Gugu,
I hope you are proud of the woman I have become.

Life has not always been easy, and we have walked through seasons we never imagined. But we are still here.

We are still standing. We are still believing. We are still healing.
Most importantly, we are still loved by God.

I love you so much.

When I first started Gugnate 4 Women, I was angry.

I was going through a divorce, carrying wounds that felt too heavy to bear. I remember thinking to myself, "No woman should ever have to experience the pain I am experiencing right now."

During that season, I unexpectedly came face-to-face with a man who had sexually abused me years before.

For over 10 years, I had never seen him or heard from him. I often wondered what I would do if I ever met him again.

But when that moment finally came, something unexpected happened.
Instead of destroying me, that encounter gave me courage.

It became one of the moments that helped me find the strength to leave my abusive marriage and begin choosing myself, my healing, and my future.

What started from a place of pain became the birth of Gugnate 4 Women.

Since then, I have had the privilege of meeting incredible women from all walks of life.

Women carrying different stories, different struggles, different victories, and different wounds.

And now, here we are.
Walking this 40-Day Spiritual Cleansing Journey together.

This morning, I am realizing something: perhaps the way to ensure that other women do not carry pain alone is not by trying to save them, but by being willing to walk the healing journey alongside them.

I am not walking ahead of you because I have it all figured out.

I am walking with you because I am healing too.

So today, I want to invite you once again:

🌿 Come, let's walk this healing journey together.

Let's heal together. Let's pray together. Let's cry together. Let's grow together.

Because healed women have the power to heal families, communities, and nations.

💌 A Love Letter to God 💌

Dear Father,
I remember hearing about You as a little girl. I watched others trust You and wondered if I was worthy of being known by You.

As life unfolded, I experienced pain that made me question where You were. There were moments of abuse, heartbreak, disappointment, and seasons where I felt abandoned. There were times when I was angry with You and times when I lost hope completely.

When I left an abusive marriage, I felt as though I had died. I carried wounds I could not explain and searched for answers in places that left me emptier than before.

But in my brokenness, I met Jesus.
Not as a story I had heard growing up, but as a Savior who carried me when I could not carry myself.

Father, thank You for never giving up on me.
Thank You for loving me when I struggled to love myself.

Thank You for making a way when there seemed to be no way.

Thank You for staying.

You stayed through the pain. You stayed through the heartbreak. You stayed through the confusion. You stayed through the loneliness.
You stayed.

As I journey through healing and renewal, there is one thing I want You to know:

❤️ I love You.

Not because my life has been perfect. Not because I understand every chapter.

I love You because You stayed.

🌸 Cry Out to the Lord 🌸

To every woman who managed to complete the 3-day fast, I pray that the Holy Spirit has touched your heart in a special way.

May your spirit, soul, and mind become aligned with God's purpose for your life.

As we continue on the 40-day journey of Spiritual cleansing as healing woman, I want to encourage you to remain open to what God is doing within you.

Yesterday, I found myself wanting to sabotage my fast and break it before the time I had committed to. In that moment, I heard my spirit crying out to God, asking Him not to harden my heart.

I cannot fully explain the relief I felt hearing that cry from within me. It reminded me that even when my flesh is struggling, my spirit is still longing for God.

Sometimes the greatest miracle is not receiving what we want, but realizing that our hearts are still tender toward God.

As Healed Women, let us walk this journey together. ❤️

It had been years since I was reminded that I'm no longer married and that my previous marriage was physically abusive.

I cried good tears, and now I'm reminded to take it all to God.
