BACKGROUND
Light Giving Foundation was established in 2019 in the Gauteng Province with a strong commitment to supporting disadvantaged communities and uplifting vulnerable families. Since its inception, the organisation has actively engaged in humanitarian initiatives aimed at reducing poverty and empowering individuals through education, social development, and community support.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Foundation played a vital role in assisting poverty-stricken families by paying rent for those who had lost employment and providing groceries to affected households.
In 2022, the Foundation partnered with the Rabie Ridge Social Department to assist a family that had lost a loved one to cancer. The deceased had no identity document or funeral cover, and the Foundation provided financial assistance for travel and funeral arrangements.
That same year, Light Giving Foundation donated food parcels to several orphanages in Tembisa and distributed full school uniforms to learners at Mayibuye Primary School. The Foundation also donated 200 blankets to orphanage homes across Gauteng, including Tumelo Home for the Disabled.
In 2023, the organisation expanded its footprint to the Limpopo Province, led by Mr. Prince Mageza, Ms. Porshia Myeni, Mr. Believe Maringa, and Ms. MarryGold Masonto.
OUR KEY PROGRAM
Learner Support Program
This program aims to provide comprehensive support to vulnerable learners, addressing their academic, emotional, and social needs. The goal is to improve learning outcomes, enhance well-being, and build a solid foundation for future success.

Light Giving Foundation has made significant strides in improving the lives of children, families, and communities through sustainable initiatives.
Key achievements include:

• Built or repaired 3 family shelters
• Donated 200 school uniforms to learners
• Sponsored 500 certificates for academic achievers
• Assisted 3 students with matric dance attire
• Funded 5 individuals to obtain security certificates and employment
To combat youth idleness and substance abuse, the Foundation, in partnership with Lamus Training Academy, Luke Service Provider, and Luka Brand, has hosted three annual dance competitions with over 500 supporters in attendance.
The Foundation has also participated in Top Achievers Awards Programs across the Elim Circuit, celebrating academic excellence in schools such as Elim Primary School, Masunguo Primary School, Shihlobyeni Primary School, Tsakani Primary School, and others. Dance competitions unite us as a nation by celebrating our diverse cultures, talents, and traditions. They create a platform where people from different backgrounds come together in the spirit of joy, creativity, and unity—reminding us that through dance, we speak one common language of rhythm, passion, and togetherness.
