A Heartfelt Thank You ❤️

A heartfelt thank you to our Directors, Caregivers, Volunteers, Sponsors, Beneficiaries, Supporters, and everyone who continues to stand behind Legae la Baputswa NPC.

We are truly grateful for every activity rendered, every helping hand, every contribution, every donation, every word of encouragement and every effort made towards making this initiative a success.

Your time, generosity, commitment and support have made a meaningful difference in the lives of our elderly. What we are building is only possible because of people who believe in the importance of caring, giving back and restoring dignity to our elderly community.

To our beneficiaries, thank you for allowing us to serve you, learn from you and share these beautiful moments with you. You are the heart of what we do.

May God richly bless each and every one of you, your families, your organisations and your businesses. May He continue to provide, strengthen and guide us as we work together to make a difference.

Together, we can do more. Together, we can care. Together, we can make a difference. 🙏
With love and gratitude,

A Simple Act of Care, Respect and Love .

As we grow older, some everyday tasks that once seemed simple can become difficult.

Bending down to care for one's feet, cutting toenails, applying lotion or simply stretching and relaxing the body may require assistance.

During our time with the elderly, washing and caring for their feet, offering gentle massages and assisting with stretching was more than just an activity—it was an expression of care, dignity, respect and love.

We understand that some of our elderly may need a helping hand with things they are no longer physically able to do comfortably on their own. By offering assistance with compassion and respect, we remind them that needing help does not take away their independence, value or dignity.

At Legae la Baputswa NPC, we believe that caring for our elderly means being present, offering a helping hand and treating every person with the honour and respect they deserve.

Sometimes, the smallest act of kindness can bring comfort, restore dignity and remind someone that they are loved.

Nourishing Our Elderly with Care and Love

Caring for our elderly also means paying attention to their nutritional needs. During our Elderly Day Retreat, we had the pleasure of serving our elderly nutritious meals prepared and served with love, care and consideration for their wellbeing.

A healthy and balanced meal plays an important role in maintaining strength, energy and overall wellbeing, especially as we grow older.

For us, serving food is about more than simply providing a meal—it is about ensuring that our elderly feel cared for, valued and nourished.

Every meal shared is an opportunity to show kindness, dignity and love. We remain committed to caring for our elderly holistically by considering not only their physical needs but also their health, happiness and wellbeing.

Because everyone deserves to be cared for with dignity, love and compassion.

Promoting Health and Wellness Among Our Elderly

As part of our commitment to caring for and supporting the elderly in our community, our Executive Director, Mrs Sophy Morare, a registered nurse, conducted an informative health talk during our Elderly Day Retreat.

The discussion focused mainly on two important health topics: stroke and arthritis. Mrs Morare explained their symptoms and causes in detail, helping our elderly beneficiaries better understand these conditions and the importance of recognising changes in their health.

The elderly were encouraged to ask questions and seek clarity about their health concerns. They were also reminded of the importance of not sharing medication, following their prescribed medication instructions and adhering to their medication routines. Most importantly, they were encouraged to keep their health in check and seek appropriate medical advice when needed.

At Legae la Baputswa NPC, we believe that empowering our elderly with health knowledge is an important part of caring for them. By creating opportunities for education, open conversations and support, we can help our elderly feel more informed, valued and cared for.

Our Elderly Deserve Our Love and Attention

Caring for the elderly in our communities is more than an act of kindness—it is a way of giving back to those who have paved the way for us.

Our elderly deserve to feel loved, valued, respected and included. Sometimes, the greatest gift we can give them is our time, our attention, a listening ear and the reassurance that they are not forgotten.

At Legae la Baputswa NPC, we believe in creating moments of love, care and connection for our elderly. We encourage society and our communities to do the same. Let us visit them, listen to them, support them and remind them that they are worthy of love and care.

Giving back does not always require much—sometimes, your presence and attention can mean the world to someone.

Let us continue to honour, care for and uplift our elderly because they are an important part of our families and communities.

Elderly Day Retreat – A Day to Remember

This past Saturday, we had the absolute pleasure of hosting our beloved elderly community at our Elderly Day Retreat.

It is always a great honour and privilege to spend time with them, listen to their stories, share laughter, and ensure that they are cared for and appreciated.

At Legae la Baputswa NPC, we believe that our elderly deserve love, dignity, respect and a sense of belonging. It is always a pleasure to host them and cater for their needs while creating beautiful and memorable moments together.

We cherish our elders because they are the foundation of our communities and the keepers of our history.
