Jesus of Nazareth, may Your precious blood flow throughout the whole world and cleanse every trace of the evil power of disease, especially cancer, which brings devastation to humanity. At this holy moment, in this holy place, and at this holy hour, in Your Name, people all over the world unite in prayer and ask for Your compassion and mercy.
Lord Jesus Christ, we humbly plead with You to overcome the storms of this deadly illness that has caused so much suffering throughout the world. Through Your sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on all people everywhere. Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world. Please bring healing and victory, for You alone are our only and eternal Physician.

Saam kan ons die Van Niekerk-gesin ondersteun

Platinum Bushvelder koerant | Thabazimbi – Wat op Saterdag 16 Mei 2026 as ’n gewone aand begin het, het binne oomblikke in ’n ondenkbare tragedie verander vir die Van Niekerk-gesin. ‘n Motorongeluk het die lewens van Brendon van Niekerk en sy baba seun, Duan, geëis en ’n gesin agtergelaat wat nou nie net met diepe verlies worstel nie, maar ook met ernstige beserings en groot finansiële uitdagings.

Nicky Black, wat saam met haar gesin in die voertuig was, het haar pelvis en enkel gebreek. Sy wag tans op ’n operasie in die staatstelsel, maar die wagtyd is lank. Ten spyte van haar eie pyn en beperkte beweeglikheid, moes sy die moeilike taak aanpak om afskeid te neem van haar man en baba seun.

Haar jongste dogter, Luané van Niekerk (5), is ook ernstig beseer. Sy het haar bo-been en kakebeen gebreek en is na ’n hospitaal in Polokwane geneem waar sy operasies ondergaan het. Dokters is tevrede met haar herstel tot dusver, maar sy mag vir die volgende ses weke geen gewig op haar been plaas nie. Sy is op 3 Junie uit die hospitaal ontslaan en is nou tuis by haar ma en suster.

Die gesin staan egter voor verdere uitdagings. Omdat Nicky nie kan rondbeweeg nie en Luané gereelde opvolgafsprake benodig, moet sy tans by haar ouma in Randfontein bly. Die skeiding tussen ma en dogter is besonder moeilik.

“Luané soek haar mamma; ons moet bymekaar wees. ’n Vyfjarige dogtertjie kan nie verstaan wat aangaan en hoekom sy nie by haar mamma kan wees nie,” vertel Nicky hartseer.

Nog twee insittendes, Donovan en Megan Koen, wat saam met die Van Niekerks gereis het, het ook ernstige beserings opgedoen, hoofsaaklik inwendig. Megan is steeds in die hospitaal, terwyl Donovan tuis herstel.

Benewens die emosionele trauma, staar die gesin nou aansienlike begrafnis- en mediese uitgawes in die gesig. Angie Raath het ’n BackaBuddy-fondsinsamelingsveldtog namens die gesin begin en haar huis oopgestel om ondersteuning en versorging te bied gedurende hierdie moeilike tyd. Nicky ondersoek tans ook die moontlikheid van privaat mediese behandeling aangesien die wagtyd vir staatsbehandeling besonder lank is.

Lede van die gemeenskap wat die gesin wil ondersteun, kan die BackaBuddy-veldtog besoek. Enige bydrae, groot of klein, sal help om die finansiële druk op die gesin te verlig terwyl hulle die moeilike pad van rou, herstel en herbou stap.

Urgent‼️ Needed for Family in located in Claremont, Gauteng

We are reaching out on behalf of a family in desperate need. A woman suffered severe burns to both of her feet while trying to boil water for washing. Tragically, the handle of the bucket broke, and the boiling water spilled onto her feet.
This heartbreaking accident could have been prevented if the family had access to a geyser or a safe hot water system.
