The Canola Carnival’s energetic program of music, sport, culinary del
ights and a vibrant street festival is set against the magnificent backdrop of the Langeberg Mountains. Every August the scenic town of Swellendam turns yellow, to celebrate all that is positive and healthy about life in South Africa. Come face to face with a region where the fresh air motivates you, the warm sun energizes you and the natural beauty cheers you on. A region that challenges you to go further, higher and be stronger – in order to truly appreciate the opportunities made possible through its splendour. Blaze your own trail whether by bike or foot across the majestic Marloth Nature Reserve as a participant in the MTB and Trail Running events. Treat your taste-buds to a healthy helping of South Africa’s gourmet delights at Canola Cuisine. And celebrate life’s goodness by joining us for the lively and colourful Yellow Street Parade. If the sound of nature gets too loud for you, then head for the main tent which play host to some of South Africa’s top musicians and bands. In 2012 the main tent includes:
