SUN VALLEY ECO WATCH Annual General Meeting 2025 including a presentation “Wetland Warriors of Silvermine Academy” by Sally Sivewright from Guardians of the Deep NPC
Date: Monday 10 November 2025
Time: 7pm
Venue: 14 Barque Crescent, Sun Valley
Come along to the AGM in the form of a slide show, with photos of the year’s activities. Then enjoy the presentation by Sally, after which there’ll be free light refreshments.
The presentation is free, but Sally has asked for a small voluntary donation, if you wish, towards the community conservation and environmental education programmes of Guardians of the Deep NPC. Here is their website: https://guardiansofthedeep.org.za

🌳HAZELWOOD PARK🌳 CLEANUP & REVAMP on Wednesday 26 March. Time 9:00 - 15:00. Hazelwood Park is in Chrisiris Close, Sun Valley. SVEW will employ two gardeners, Ian & Sadram, but anyone's welcome to come along to support or help to cut back, w**d thorns, trim, etc. Bring your own tools & bags for refuse. Or just pop in to see what's happening. 👀 🌳

Fiorella Park, who turned 90 last weekend, asked for donations for Sun Valley Eco Watch instead of gifts. She collected R900, which will go towards park maintenance or other green 💚 projects in Sun Valley. Thank you, dear Fiorella! 🥰

On Fri 20 December Carols in the park, at Ketch Park, Sun Valley, was a fun community event, with singing, picnicking, gingerbread barn raffle and "Make a wish hearts" on sale. Thank you to everyone who made this a success!
