SHARK SPOTTERS PRESENTATION & AGM
Dear SVEW Members, Sun Valley Residents & Other Interested Parties
You’re invited to the SUN VALLEY ECO WATCH Annual General Meeting 2026, including a presentation:
“A Holistic Approach to Human–Wildlife Coexistence: The Shark Spotters Model” by Taryn van Neel.
Date: Monday 9 November 2026
Time: 7pm
Venue: 14 Barque Crescent, Sun Valley
Come along to the AGM and enjoy the presentation, after which there’ll be free light refreshments.
The presentation is free, but you’re welcome to give a small voluntary donation, if you wish, towards Shark Spotters.
The minutes of our last AGM can be emailed if requested.

Dear Sun Valley Eco Watch Member
We had a meeting of the SVEW Committee last night and decided to make all SVEW members aware of the fact that Paul and I will be resigning from the Committee at the next AGM. We’ve been in executive seats since the inception of SVEW thirteen years ago and it’s time for a change!

We’ll hold an Annual General Meeting in November to which all members will be invited. At that meeting we can propose and elect a new Chairperson, Secretary and any other committee members. If there aren’t enough candidates for the three executive roles (Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer), then we’ll have to vote on the closing down of SVEW. If SVEW is disbanded, then any money in the account at that point must be donated to other environmental organisations, not individuals, according to our constitution.

Please consider putting yourself forward to serve on this committee or proposing someone else (with their permission). It’s been fun, we’ve learned a lot about all sorts of environmental issues and we’ve made good friends with like-minded people. There are only two meetings a year! Please contact me if you’re interested.
