SPELLING BEE SUCCESS AT NKULULEKWENI PRIMARY SCHOOL

Today, Bokamoso Ba Bana Ba Rona proudly hosted a Spelling Bee Competition at Nkululekweni Primary School, bringing together learners who demonstrated confidence, determination, and outstanding spelling abilities.

The event formed part of our Literacy Programme, funded by DGMT, which aims to improve reading, writing, communication, and academic excellence among learners. It was inspiring to witness learners eagerly participating, challenging themselves, and showcasing the knowledge they have gained through continuous learning and support.

We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the management, educators, learners, and the entire Nkululekweni Primary School community for the warm welcome and unwavering support they continue to provide to our programmes. Your commitment to creating an environment that promotes learning and growth plays a significant role in the success of our initiatives.

On Tuesday Bokamoso Ba Bana Ba Rona, together with stakeholders from SAPS and the Department of Social Development (DSD), conducted a Child Protection Awareness Campaign at Bakang Primary School in Tigane. 💙

The purpose of the campaign was to educate learners about their rights and responsibilities as outlined in the Constitution of South Africa and the Children’s Act 38 of 2005.

Important discussions were held around child abuse, neglect and the importance of speaking out and reporting any form of harm. Learners were encouraged to know that their voices matter and that they have the right to feel safe, protected and supported at all times.

We appreciate the collaboration and commitment from all stakeholders who continue to work together in protecting and empowering our children.

Building readers, building futures

Bokamoso Ba Bana Ba Rona proudly hosted a Reading Competition at Khuma Primary as part of our Literacy Programme funded by DGMT.

The competition created a platform for learners to showcase their reading abilities, confidence and love for literacy. We are incredibly proud of every learner who participated and demonstrated courage and determination.

Congratulations to our winners, who were rewarded with new reading books from Bokamoso Ba Bana Ba Rona because we believe that every book opens a new world of possibilities.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Language Teachers who served as judges and contributed their time and expertise to support this initiative.

A special thank you to our funder DGMT for making this possible. Your support continues to help us strengthen literacy because reading is the foundation of learning and the key to unlocking brighter futures for our children.

Today we celebrate a heart that serves with purpose and passion. ❤️

Our Literacy Coordinator Mpho Rakoata continues to go beyond teaching words and letters creating safe spaces where children can dream, create and express themselves freely. Through this creative art activity with our Grade R learners, we saw smiles, imagination and confidence come to life.

Every drawing, every colour and every little hand at work reminds us that learning is not only about books; it is about nurturing young minds, building confidence and allowing children to discover their own unique voices.
