Health Promotion South Africa Trustยฎ is a non-profit organization providing information and training in health and hygiene to prevent illness in the townships of Southern Africa. Thousands of people, especially children, are dying every year as a result of limited knowledge about hygiene and illness prevention. Children die, for example, from diarrhoea, infections and other illnesses that can be prevented by providing simple basic information and training to aid workers and the local population. Our Health Promotersยฎ are providing this basic information and training in the form of workshops with excellent, promising results. The Health Promotion South Africa Trustยฎ is based in South Africa with supporting organizations in the Netherlands and the United States of America.

Today, Regina Eggink from the Netherlands attended a meeting hosted by Clarence Johnson on behalf of Health Promoters. We discussed the upcoming elections: how can we encourage people to vote, and what matters most to their communities? Health, education and jobs were central to the conversation.

Regina had the opportunity to briefly introduce our organisation. She shared news about the start of our activities in Franschhoek and our breast cancer awareness event on Saturday, 17 October, from 10:00 to 13:00 at the Legacy Center in Kayamandi.

The meeting led to valuable conversations and new connections that Regina can build on to strengthen Health Promotersโ€™ work in the communities.

On 2 October 2026, we celebrated another special graduation in Langa. Our students proudly received their certificates after completing their health education programme with Health Promoters.

Every certificate represents more than completing a course. It represents new knowledge, confidence and opportunities โ€” knowledge that can also be shared with families and communities.

We are incredibly proud of everyone who reached this milestone. Congratulations to all our graduates! ๐ŸŽ“๐Ÿ‘
